Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and data-driven Senior Accountant who knows IFRS and Swedish accounting & best practices to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage complex accounting topics, ensure data accuracy, and provide insights through financial analysis. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing accurate reports to support decision-making.
Manage an efficient period book closure, allowing time for proper review and control of the figures.
Manage reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
Manage outsourced sales tax, VAT reporting as well as internally-prepared Swedish VAT reporting.
Lead the work to reduce the number of legal entities significantly - from forty entities to 1-2 entities
Lead the work to convert the Chart of Accounts to a standard BAS Kontoplan
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling and analyzing financial data.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support initiatives that impact financial reporting and compliance.
Lead efforts to streamline accounting operations and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare audit schedules, respond to audit inquiries, and coordinate with external auditors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, IFRS, and compliance.
Advanced Excel skills, with experience in financial modeling, data manipulation, and analysis.
Interest in and capability to easily learn new systems and tools
Clear and concise communicator, capable of collaborating effectively across departments.
Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in all work outputs.
Bonus Points
Previous experience as an auditor is a strong plus.
Experience in the ERP system Netsuite
