Position Overview:
As a Copywriter at Go North, your primary responsibility is to create high-converting, customer-centric product listing copy that aligns with the unique characteristics of each product category. This includes conducting market and keyword research, mapping out content structure, and writing persuasive listing copy that resonates with target audiences. You’ll play a key role in driving conversions by delivering optimized content that supports both organic visibility and sales performance. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with graphic designers to ensure visual and written elements come together into a cohesive, compelling product story. Your work will directly impact product performance across marketplaces, making you an essential part of Go North’s brand and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Content and Competitor Research
Conduct thorough market research, reviewing competitor content and customer feedback to find unique positioning and develop engaging listing copy for new product developments (NPDs).
Analyze the existing market to create the content direction, mapping out copy, images, and A+ Content (APC).
Making sure the tone and messaging aligns with the brand demographics and audience insights.
Collaboration for Visual Storytelling
Collaborate with the Designer to develop cohesive storyboards and photo briefs for the Photographer, establishing a clear visual narrative for photoshoots.
Listing Optimization
Conduct competitor analysis, including the analysis of our own content and customer reviews, to assess effective content strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Partner with PPC and Sales teams to gather key insights and data for content refinement.
Develop new content mapping with organized copy and visuals.
Track performance metrics using My Real Profit, and utilize Cerebro and Helium 10 for strategic copy and content adjustments.
SEO Copy
Perform keyword research and create SEO optimized titles, bullets and backend copy for new product listings.
Effectively manage the relationship with third party SEO programs to make sure your products are performing well organically.
Tracking, analysis and ownership of key data points such as organic traffic & organic sales.
A+ Content and Brand Story Development
Map and update A+ Content and Brand Story elements with SEO indexing in mind, applying best practices for alt text, APC and imagery.
Incorporate SEO-friendly practices and include relevant keywords for improved discoverability.
Packaging and Labeling
Develop packaging copy and label copy aligned with compliance requirements and brand guidelines, making sure there is clarity for the customer while highlighting USP’s, and retaining brand consistency.
Map copy for instructional manuals and inserts with usage instructions, and cross-sell QR codes, improving customer experience and brand interaction.
Advertising and Localization
Create and optimize copy for ad content tailored for diverse markets and channels.
Localize content by adapting language, keywords for SEO optimization, and messaging for cultural relevance for various regions and sales channels.
Project Management
Oversee creative project timelines, working closely with the Graphic Designer to make sure all launches and projects are completed on schedule and are retail-ready.

We are looking for a person with the following skills:
2–4 years of hands-on experience with copywriting in English, ideally in e-commerce or a related field.
Ability to structure and write compelling product listings that drive conversions.
Strong attention to detail and an understanding of how tone, structure, and word choice impact customer behavior.
Enjoys collaborating with creatives and thrives in a team setting.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
